Samantha Ruth Prabhu-Raj Nidimoru Wedding: Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s wedding to filmmaker Raj Nidimoru on December 1, instantly became one of the most talked-about moments on social media. But while fans admired the serene ceremony at the Isha Foundation in Coimbatore, another moment simultaneously grabbed attention, her ex-husband Naga Chaitanya’s new Instagram post. Around the same time that Samantha shared photos from her traditional Linga Bhairavi Vivaha, Naga Chaitanya uploaded a still from his series Dhootha to mark its two-year anniversary. The post, which celebrated the success of his OTT debut, quickly went viral for reasons beyond the show.
In his caption, Naga Chaitanya wrote about choosing projects with ‘creativity and honesty’ and thanked audiences for embracing Dhootha. He also expressed gratitude to the entire team behind the series. However, fans were far more interested in the timing than the message. The comment section instantly filled with users linking the post to Samantha’s wedding. Some questioned whether the upload was deliberate, while others simply revisited the couple’s highly publicised split in 2021. Comments ranged from humorous quips such as “Timing of the post!” to pointed observations like “This guy had to post today” and “He lost a diamond.” A few even suggested he should have turned off comments, anticipating the inevitable comparisons.

Meanwhile, Samantha and Raj Nidimoru’s wedding drew attention for its simplicity and symbolism. Samantha wore a traditional red and gold saree, while Raj opted for a beige Nehru jacket over a white kurta. The ceremony marks a fresh beginning for the actress, who was previously married to Naga Chaitanya from 2017 to 2021. The pair had two weddings Hindu and Christian before announcing their separation. Raj, too, was previously married to Shhyamali De, known for her work in films like Rang De Basanti and Omkara. They reportedly separated in 2022.

Despite the online chatter, Naga Chaitanya appeared focused on his work. His anniversary post for Dhootha highlighted his commitment to choosing meaningful roles, and the show’s strong response was a milestone for him in the streaming space. The thriller, created by Vikram Kumar, features Parvathy Thiruvothu, Prachi Desai, and Pasupathy, and was renewed for a second season in 2024. Naga himself remarried in 2024, tying the knot with actress Sobhita Dhulipala in a private ceremony at Annapurna Studios in Hyderabad.
