Tourist Family led by M Sasikumar and Simran debuted in theatres on May 1. The Tamil comedy drama movie, directed by Abishan Jeevinth, has been well received by the audience and has garnered praise for its performances and storyline. Despite facing a box office clash with big films- Suriya starrer Retro and Nani's HIT 3, Tourist Family maintained a strong grip. The Tamil movie is still captivating viewers and those who missed watching it on big screens are eagerly waiting for its digital premiere. Sasikumar and Simran also grabbed the attention of Nani, who recently reviewed the movie and thanked the Tourist Family's cast and team for making this 'gem' of a film.

The Tamil movie has so far earned an estimated Rs 58.02 crore net at the Indian box office. M Sasikumar and Simran starrer scored Rs 0.39 crore, as per early estimates by Sacnilk.
Tourist Family Cast And Plot
The movie centres around the journey of a Tamil family, who leave their home in Sri Lanka amid the turmoil and COVID-19 pandemic. They visit their neighbourhood for a fresh start. The movie unfolds the moments of them settling in India and adapting to a new life. Das, played by M. Sasikumar plays the central character Das and Simran portrays the role of Das's wife Vasanthi. Alongside the lead cast, the Tourist Family stars Yogi Babu, M. S. Bhaskar, Ramesh Thilak, Bagavathi Perumal, Elango Kumaravel, and Sreeja Ravi in key roles.
