Nayanthara recently took a lighthearted jab at the situation on social media amid the ongoing controversy surrounding her wedding documentary. The actress took to her Instagram handle and posted a photo on the stories section. She captioned it, "Our reaction when we see loopy news about us!" in the photo, Nayanthara and Vignesh Sivan were seen with wierd expressions. Take a look at Nayanthara's post:

Nayanthara shuts down break-up rumours

On November 16, 2024, Nayanthara released an open letter and a cryptic Instagram post addressing actor-producer Dhanush. She claimed that Dhanush had withheld a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for nearly two years, preventing her from using BTS footage from the 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan. She further alleged that the delay was a result to personal grievances related to her romantic relationship with director Vignesh Shivan.

Nayanthara faced legal trouble when Dhanush issued a legal notice demanding Rs 10 crore in compensation, claiming that a three-second clip from the set of their film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan was included in her Netflix documentary Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale without permission. In response to the notice, the filmmakers took prompt action by re-editing the documentary to remove the disputed footage, as well as any associated songs or visual content from the film.

The legal proceedings continued, with a hearing held on January 22, 2025. Ultimately, the case was resolved in March 2025, with the court ruling in Nayanthara's favor, bringing the matter to a close.
