Venkatesh Daggubati, a celebrated versatile actor, is gearing up for an upcoming Telugu movie, which is yet to be titled. The movie is directed by Trivikram Srinivas and produced by Naga Vamsi. Earlier reports from OTT Play suggested that Trisha Krishnan would play the lead actress. If confirmed, this would be Daggubati and Trisha's fourth collaboration, following Bodyguard, Namo Venkatesa, and Aadavari Matalaku Arthale Verule. However, new reports now claim that Nidhhi Agerwal has also been cast in the Telugu movie.

Nidhhi Agerwal, according to a report by TV9, is considered the second female lead in the Telugu movie. With no official confirmation from the makers, this rumour has already generated significant buzz among fans. The actress is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming historical drama Hari Hara Veera Mallu alongside Pawan Kalyan. If the rumours are true, the actress will have a large number of movies in her filmography.

Although producer Naga Vamsi earlier last month took to X (formerly Twitter) to confirm that only two projects are currently in development. His X post read, “Trivikram garu’s next 2 projects are locked with @VenkyMama sir and @tarak9999 anna. Everything else is mere speculation. Any confirmed project of Trivikram garu will be announced by me in this space.” In one movie Venkatesh is roped in as the lead, while the other is a mythological drama starring Jr NTR. 

Venkatesh Daggubati’s Work Front

On the professional front, Venkatesh made a theatrical appearance in Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which hit theatres in January 2025. The movie became the third-highest-grossing Indian film of the year. Meanwhile, Venkatesh Duggabati also made headlines with the second season of Netflix’s popular web series Rana Naidu. The web series featured an ensemble cast that includes Rana Daggubati, Arjun Rampal, and others. In the series, Venkatesh portrayed an intense role, which garnered a lot of praise from audiences.

Trisha Krishnan’s Upcoming Movies

Meanwhile, Trisha Krishnan last appeared in Mani Ratnam's Thug Life, alongside Kamal Haasan. With multiple films in production, the 42-year-old actress is slated to appear in the Telugu movie Vishwambhara opposite Chiranjeevi and the Tamil movie Karuppu.
