Nikita Roy Release Update: Movie buffs will have to wait a little longer for Sonakshi Sinha and Paresh Rawal's much-awaited psychological thriller, Nikita Roy. The movie, which was slated to release on May 30, has had its release date pushed back, with the makers announcing the new date ahead of its theatrical run. However, the reason for the delay has not been revealed. The upcoming film is being directed by Sonakshi's brother, Kussh S. Sinha, marking his directorial debut. Nikita Roy also stars Arjun Rampal and Suhail Nayyar in pivotal roles.

Taking to Instagram, Sonakshi shared a poster on Instagram with a caption that read, "Mark your calendars! Our edge-of-the-seat thriller ‘Nikita Roy’ now has a new release date! Catch the suspense unfold on the big screen on 27th June 2025!"

What Is The Story Of Nikita Roy All About?

The movie is set against the haunting narrative backdrop and explores themes like grey zones of the human mind, psychological tension, suspense, dark truth and some unexpected mystery.

Kussh S Sinha directed the movie with the screenplay penned by Pavan Kirpalani and Ankur Takrani. Nikita Roy has been backed by Nickky Bhagnani and Viicky Bhagnani. This horror mystery stars Sonakshi Sinha in the lead role alongside Paresh Rawal, Arjun Rampal, Kallirroi Tziafeta, Matt McClure, Lee Nicholas Harris, Atul Sharma, Raj Awasti, Sammy Jonas Heaney, Kishore Bhatt and others.

Earlier, Sonakshi shared her experience working with her brother Kussh and actor Paresh Rawal for the first time. She said, "It was a great shoot and a very special one for me as I got to star in my brothers' first film. The fine ensemble of the film inspired me to do more and better. It was my first time working with Paresh ji and what an honour to share screen space with him. The shoot was challenging and thus so much more enjoyable. I had a great time shooting with this unit."

Besides this, Sonakshi is gearing up for the Telugu debut movie Jatadhara. She will be sharing screen space with Sudheer Babu and Shilpa Shirodkar in the Venkat Kalyan directorial.
