BTS member SUGA will be the seventh and last member of the group to finish his mandatory military service on June 21. The rapper will then not be required to return for his alternative work, which was granted to him under the ROK military recruitment laws' social service enlistment arm. This kind of duty, which would require 21 months of labour in places like welfare centers, community service centers, or post offices through a Military Manpower Administration exam.

BTS members RM, Jin, Jhope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook were all active duty military personnel who had to enlist for 18 months. The medical exam that SUGA, the second oldest, takes prior to enlisting in the military, earned a grade of 4. The level was reportedly granted because of the rapper's shoulder issue, for which he has already had surgery and even took a hiatus from marketing.

Will Suga Have Military Discharge Ceremony?

As per Pinkvilla, it is probable that SUGA won't have a separate release ceremony and will just cease to log in to his workplace, where he has been employed for the last year and nine months. He will get back together with his bandmates post his discharge.

SUGA, also known as Mi Yoongi released a special message days before his discharge from the military. "Hello, This is SUGA. It feels like it's been so long since I got to greet you. ARMY, have you all been doing well? I've been spending my time waiting for the day I get to see you again. I miss you so much. I love you, everyone," he said.

With an unexpected promotional schedule for Killin' It Girl set for June 21, Jhope earlier hinted at the seven's planned livestream. Following their reunion on Saturday, June 21, BTS is expected to plan the release of a new album in addition to a group world tour.

RM and V finished their military duty on June 10, 2025; Jimin and Jungkook followed closely behind, coming out to great acclaim on June 11, 2025. Jhope and Jin have already served their allotted time in the military in 2024.
