Here is the answer!

Earlier, Paresh Rawal also backed out of Akshay Kumar starrer 2023 movie OMG 2. The actor was part of the prequel OMG! Oh My God, which hit the screens in 2012. The film made a box office collection of Rs 149.90 crore. After a massive success, the sequel to the film was released after 11 years. Paresh Rawal’s part was replaced by Pankaj Tripathi. OMG 2 had a box office collection of Rs 221.08 crore. Apart from Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, the film also featured Yami Gautam in the lead roles.

In an interview with Bollywood Bubble,  Paresh Rawal revealed the reason behind walking out of OMG 2. The actor said, “I didn’t like the script so didn’t want to be a part of it. I don’t like making a sequel just to encash on the first part like we did in the case of Hera Pheri.”

Earlier, a Hindustan Times report suggested that Paresh Rawal was part of Irrfan Khan and Shah Rukh Khan starrer 2009 movie Billu Barber. The report claimed that he committed to the project but later walked away from the shoot. Billu Barber was helmed by Priyadarshan, who is directing Hera Pheri 3.

The movie could not make a big mark as it earned Rs 47.45 crore at the box office while it was made on a budget of Rs 27 crore. Billu Barber also featured Lara Dutta, Om Puri and Rajpal Yadav in key roles.
