Pankaj Tripathi’s barely dressed scene: Known for playing bold and relatable characters, actor Pankaj Tripathi has recently opened up on shooting one of the daring scenes from his upcoming movie Metro In Dino. The actor has done something he has never tried before! The movie trailer showed Pankaj Tripathi in a barely dressed state at a public location. The actor was seen running in broad daylight across the roads in just socks and a piece of cloth covering his private parts. This is the ‘blink and you’ll miss it’ moment from the trailer. The scene required him to shoot in real locations to capture honest reactions from the crowd.

Talking about getting the right shot and its importance in the movie, Pankaj Tripathi told Hindustan Times, “It was a great scene, shot in a real location, and I did it for the first time. I was performing in a way where the clothing was minimal, but it was necessary for the role. It wasn’t for sensationalism; it was an important part of the film’s story.”

For natural and authentic reactions, the team used hidden cameras. Pankaj revealed, “That sequence is a turning point. We didn’t even know when the shot started. Some of the crowd reactions captured were genuine. I was a bit nervous, but without this experiment, the storytelling wouldn’t be complete. I even ran for a few days in preparation.”

Known for portraying powerful roles like Kaleen Bhaiya from Mirzapur to delivering the best comical role like Pandit Ji from Fukrey, Pankaj Tripathi has proved his versatility and ability to mould himself into any character. It would be interesting for the audience to see him play Konkona Sen Sharma’s love interest in the movie.

Metro In Dino is a sequel to Anurag Basu’s much-loved film, Life In A Metro. The new cast includes Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Kay Kay Menon, Konkona, Pankaj, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, and Saswata Chatterjee. The movie’s music is composed by Pritam, whose contribution to the first film was very well received by the audience. Metro In Dino is set to release on July 4, 2025.
