As per the latest buzz, Ayushmann Khurrana will headline the film, stepping into the role previously played by Kartik Aaryan. As we know, it's a love triangle story. Reportedly, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi have been roped in to play the roles of Patni and the Woh, which were originally played by Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday in the 2019 film.

The 2019 film Pati Patni Aur Woh, directed by Mudassar Aziz, is getting a sequel, with Aziz returning to helm the project. The makers are aiming for fresh romantic pairings with proven comic timing to recreate the energy of the original cast. They have reportedly finalised Ayushmann Khurrana, Sara Ali Khan and Wamiqa Gabbi for the lead roles.

As per a source quoted by Peeping Moon, Wamiqa will play the role of patni while Sara will portray the girlfriend, referred to as 'woh' in the title. The man caught between the two is Ayushmann, who will essay the role of a middle-class man juggling marital expectations and the thrill of an extramarital affair, leading to hilarious chaos.

Earlier, a Pinkvilla report stated that "The sequel is a typical comedy from the era gone by – a multi-star cast, where the lead is stuck in a situation leading to comedy. Sara and Ayushmann are a fresh combo in the comic space, and the actor (Sara) fits the character’s brief. She heard the script, and it was an instant yes from her side for the film."
