Maalik Trailer Launch: From being an outsider to achieving stardom through decades of hard work, Rajkummar Rao has established himself as an influential actor in the industry with phenomenal work over the years. His acting skills have undoubtedly helped him garner widespread attention. He is currently gearing up for a new role as a gangster in the upcoming action thriller Maalik. At the trailer launch, he spoke about the similarity between his real-life journey as an outsider and his character in the film, referencing a powerful dialogue, 'Maalik paida nahi huye to kya, ban toh sakte hain'. This line became the highlight of the trailer.

Makers of Maalik launched the trailer of Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar starrer in Mumbai today, July 1. During media interaction, Rajkummar was asked if there is any connection with his Maalik's dialogues and his journey in Bollywood. To this, the actor responded by saying, "Wo sirf mere liye nahi, wo hum sab ke liye laazmi hota hai wo dialogue. Kyunki hum sab jo hain, silver spoon ke saath paida nahi huye hain. 99.99 percent log. Toh hum sabmein wo qaabiliyat hai. Ki hum agar paida nahi huye, toh koi baat nahi. Hum ban sakte hain."

Sharing his experience of playing a never-seen-before avatar, Rajkummar Rao said in a statement, "This is the first time I'm doing such a hard-hitting role. It really pushed me as an actor and let me explore a darker, more intense side. Playing a layered, ruthless gangster was both thrilling and challenging, and that's what made it so exciting. I can't wait for the audience to experience the gritty, gripping world we've created," as quoted in a press note shared by the makers of 'Maalik'.

In the movie, Rajkummar Rao plays the role of a ruthless gangster who is on a journey to be an influential man with the ambition of political power and fame. He is seen starring Manushi Chhillar along with Saurabh Shukla and Saurabh Sachdeva in key roles. Pulkit directorial is set against the backdrop of 1980s Allahabad. The movie shows intense rivalry between Rajkummar and Saurabh Shukla. Prosenjit Chatterjee plays the role of a police officer, who is tasked with finishing Maalik. The movie is backed by Kumar Taurani & Jay Shewakramani under the banner of Tips Films and Northern Lights Films. This action thriller is slated for theatrical release on July 11.
