Patriot: Malayalam star Mohanlal, celebrated for superhit movies like Thudarum, Drishyam, Neru and Lucifer, is set to reunite with decade-old friend and colleague Mammootty for an upcoming movie. Helmed by Mahesh Narayanan, this project has also garnered significant attention for being a high-budget movie. Initially referred to as MMMN until recently, the Drishyam actor has now reportedly confirmed the Malayalam movie’s official title.
According to a report in Mathrubhumi, Malayalam actor Mohanlal recently visited Sri Lanka ahead of beginning the schedule of Mahesh Narayanan’s movie, and there, during a media interaction, he revealed the official title of the much-anticipated movie, MMMN. He said during the interaction, “We are doing a very big film. Big film in the sense of the star cast. The name of the movie is called Patriot.” He also mentioned that filming for the upcoming Malayalam movie is taking place in India, Azerbaijan, the UK, and the Middle East. He also lauded Sri Lanka’s culture and locations and called it a “friendly place to shoot” while comparing its scenery to Kerala.

About Mohanlal’s Upcoming Malayalam Movie MMMN
MMMN, originally titled Patriot, also features Nayanthara, Fahadh Faasil, Kunchacko Boban and more. The Malayalam movie is one of the most ambitious productions in Mollywood so far, as fans are anticipating the on-screen reunion of Mohanlal and Mammootty almost after a huge gap of 16 years.
Mohanlal’s Upcoming Projects
On the work front, Mohanlal was last seen in Thudarum, making a big success at the box office. Apart from filmmaker Mahesh Narayanan’s Patriot movie, the actor also has Drishyam 3 in his kitty. Meanwhile, Drishyam 3 is the sequel to 2013 and 2021 Malayalam movies starring Mohanlal in the lead role. The Malayalam movie is set to begin shooting this October with Mohanlal reprising his role as Georgekutty. With the story kept under wraps, Drishyam 3 is now reportedly being shot simultaneously in Malayalam, Hindi, and Telugu.
