Cillian Murphy-starrer popular show Peaky Blinders is set to return with the Netflix film Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. The makers released the official teaser on Wednesday, offering a glimpse of an intense comeback led by the Shelbys. The film serves as a continuation of the hit drama series. The Immortal Man will have a limited theatrical release on March 6, followed by its premiere on Netflix on March 20.
The teaser begins with a voice reflecting on the fate of the once-feared gangster, questioning what became of “the famous gypsy gangster.” Tommy Shelby responds curtly, asserting that he is no longer that person. This exchange sets a tense tone for what follows. Viewers are then taken through a series of fast-paced visuals featuring explosions, violence and emotionally charged confrontations, hinting at a darker and more destructive phase of the story. A striking moment shows a woman calling on Tommy to return, which is followed by a surge of intense action sequences that introduce several new characters.
The teaser concludes on a familiar note for fans, with Cillian Murphy’s Tommy walking toward the camera in slow motion before the title card appears, reinforcing the iconic style of the franchise.
Talking about the upcoming movie, Cillian Murphy had said, "It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me…It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of ‘Peaky Blinders, This is one for the fans,' Murphy stated on his rejoining in June 2024.
Alongside Cillian Murphy, several familiar faces and new additions will be part of the project. Sophie Rundle returns as Ada Thorne, Tommy Shelby’s sister, while Stephen Graham and Ned Dennehy reprise their roles as Shelby family allies Hayden Stagg and Charlie Strong. The cast is further expanded with the inclusion of Rebecca Ferguson, Barry Keoghan, Tim Roth and Jay Lycurgo.
