All the Peaky Blinders Fans get ready, as the Shelby family drama series is all set to make a comeback with a two-season sequel series. Netflix and the BBC have given a green signal to the new show, which will be created by Steven Knight. He recently shared his excitement for the new chapter of the show. The filmmaker said that the story will be rooted in Birmingham. He also mentioned that a new generation of Shelbys will take the wheel. Here is all the details about the new show.
Steven Knight said in a statement, “I’m thrilled to be announcing this new chapter in the Peaky Blinders story.” The creator stated that it will continue the Shelby family saga, which will focus on new generation taken over the charge of Birmingham. Knight added, “Once again, it will be rooted in Birmingham and will tell the story of a city rising from the ashes of the Birmingham blitz. The new generation of Shelbys has taken the wheel, and it will be a hell of a ride.”

What To Expect From Peaky Blinders’ Sequel Series?
The sequel to Peaky Blinders consists of two seasons, which are expected to comprise a total of six-hour-long episodes. Set against the backdrop of World War II, the story of the new show will pick up from the story of the Peaky Blinders film. As per the official synopsis, the show will be ‘a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders.’
It also read, ‘After being heavily bombed in WWII, Birmingham is building a better future out of concrete and steel. In a new era of Steven Knight’s Peaky Blinders, the race to own Birmingham’s massive reconstruction project becomes a brutal contest of mythical dimensions. This is a city of unprecedented opportunity and danger, with the Shelby family right at its blood-soaked heart.’

The series is set to be shot at Digbeth Loc. Studios in Birmingham. It has been backed by Banijay UK’s Kudos and Garrison Drama. The cast of the series is yet to be unveiled, along with the release date. However, the Peaky Blinder movie is currently in production.
