Bollywood actor and filmmaker Pooja Bhatt, who is the daughter of film director Mahesh Bhatt and half sister of Alia Bhatt, is known for her work in the Indian film industry. She started her career with the film 'Daddy' in 1989, where she was in the lead. She made her name with a rom-com film 'Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin', in which she worked with Aamir Khan; the film became her highest-grossing release. The actress is quite active on her social media, where she often posts nostalgic and breathtaking pictures of herself along with some words of wisdom.
On Thursday, Pooja Bhatt posted a gorgeous sun-kissed selfie on Instagram expressing her hard-hitting thoughts on singlehood. The caption of her post read, “Singleness is not a curse. It is a sacred Assignment”. The netizens showered her post with love and agreed with her thoughts on being single.

When it comes to Pooja Bhatt’s love life, she was married to a video jockey and restaurateur, Manish Makhija. They tied the knot in 2003, but the marriage ended in 2014. She has spoken openly about her divorce and stated that it was she who wanted an out as she felt lost in that marriage. In the past, the actress has been linked to celebs like Ranvir Shorey and Sohail Khan. While shooting for the film 'Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahin', the rumours of Aamir and Pooja's affair were widespread. Aamir Khan, however, clarified that while shooting, they were linked, but they were never officially a couple.

Other than her romances, Pooja Bhatt is known for her extraordinary performances in films like Sadak, Junoon, Naraaz, Angrakshak, Border, and more, earning a great amount of praise and applause. In 2024, she was in an English coming-of-age drama, 'Big Girls Don't Cry'. The actress was also offered 'Aashiqui' right after 'Daddy', but she rejected the film because of her then-boyfriend. She was given an ultimatum that she could either be in the movies or be with him. Being new and young to the industry, she quickly said yes to the love. The film was later picked by Anu Agarwal and became a total hit.
Pooja Bhatt was also seen in Bigg Boss OTT Season 2. She was one of the finalists and finished as the fourth runner-up. Elvish Yadav became the winner of the show. When it comes to her upcoming projects, she is all set to work on a film about India's pigeon-flying culture. She will be playing Panchayat actor Jitendra Kumar's mother.
