Anushka Shetty is set to be back on screen with another anticipated movie, Ghaati. The intriguing trailer of the action crime drama has been released and is going viral on social media in no time. Amid the positive reactions from the audience, Anushka’s close friend from the industry has also shared his best wishes for her ahead of the release. Guess who? It’s none other than Prabhas; both actors were seen in several movies, including the big blockbuster hit series Baahubali. While working together over the years, they became close friend in the industry.

Now, on the occasion of Ghaati’s release, Prabhas took to his Instagram stories and wrote, “#Ghaati Release Trailer looks intense and intriguing…can’t wait to see you in this powerful role Sweety (Anushka Shetty)..Best wishes to the entire team.” The film is slated to hit the screens on September 5.

The intense trailer shows Anushka Shetty in rustic avatar. It depicts how a victim turned criminal and takes revenge. Ghaati also features Vikram Prabhu, Larissa Bonesi, Ramya Krishnan, Jagapathi Babu, Chaitanya Rao Madadi and VTV Ganesh in key roles. It has been directed by Krish Jagarlamudi and produced by Rajeev Reddy Yeduguru, V. Vamshi Krishna Reddy, Saibabu Jagarlamudi, J. Sai Babu, Dr Pramod Kumar.

Apart from Baahubali, Prabhas and Anushka Shetty also featured Mirchi (2013) and Billa (2009).

While sharing her first reaction listening to the story of Ghaati, Anushka Shetty told 123Telugu, “When Krish Garu and writer Chintakindi Srinivas Rao narrated me the script, I found the culture in the Ghaati world to be very interesting. After reaching the locations, I felt we were offering a new experience to the audience in terms of characters, culture and landscape. Krish Garu always takes up stories that are socially relevant. Weed trading and smuggling are burning issues in society currently. We made Ghaati as a commercial action entertainer with an underlying message. The film will spread positive vibes in society.”

Notably, Ghaati marks the second film of Anushka Shetty and director Krish Jagarlamudi after 2011 film Vaanam. The movie has been making a huge buzz on social media with an expectation to bring good numbers at the box office on opening day.
