Salman Khan and Aishwarya Rai’s romance was a Bollywood saga, a whirlwind of stardust and sorrow that disheartened their fans. Back in the golden era, their love was like a cinematic poster, which looked magical and real. But the glamorous story came to an end, with rumours of abuse and emotional turmoil swirling like a monsoon. Their devastating breakup became a public spectacle that broke many hearts, leaving behind a long tail of speculations. In the aftermath, Aishwarya’s career dimmed while Salman’s continued to blaze. After so many years, ad film director Prahlad Kakkar recently made bold claims about their relationship and revealed some hidden stories regarding their breakup.
Prahlad Kakkar lived in the same building as Aishwarya before she married Abhishek Bachchan. Hence, Prahlad was familiar with Aishwarya’s ups and downs related to her personal life. In a recent interview with Vickey Lalwani, the director opened up about the tragic breakup of the two stars and shared that Aishwarya was hurt by the way the industry people treated her. He expressed that Aishwarya was more hurt about the way people abandoned her, as compared to her breakup with Salman Khan.

“She was relieved about it. The break-up was a huge relief. He was very physical with her. He was very obsessive. How do you deal with somebody who is very obsessive? I was living in the same building! He would make scenes in the foyer. He would bang his head against the wall. The relationship had ended long before it ended. It was a relief for everybody; her parents, her, everybody. She wasn’t upset about the break-up,” he claimed.
Prahlad Kakkar also stated that this was the point for Aishwarya Rai where her commitment to the industry cracked. The actress didn’t trust anyone in the business anymore, as she felt deeply betrayed. Prahlad stated that Aishwarya still carries some of the hurt, and that’s why she doesn’t work quite often, as she used to.
Another celebrity, Sheeba Chaddha, who worked with Salman and Aishwarya in the movie Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, recently opened up during an interview with Siddharth Kannan and revealed how temperamental Salman used to get on the sets. Recalling the incident, Sheeba shared that Salman tripped while shooting for the film and immediately stormed out of the area. He slammed the door so hard that a lightman got hurt accidentally.
