Raj Kundra organised a lavish celebration for Shilpa Shetty's 50th birthday in Europe with their loved ones. She gave a sneak peek at her extravagant birthday celebration with her kids and close family. However, a video of Shilpa and Raj went viral, showing her allegedly shouting at a tourist at a Croatian restaurant. A social media user (@maddythecricketer) shared the footage on Instagram, and it appeared as if there was a heated argument between Shilpa and the tourist. So, what really happened?

Raj Kundra has spoken out over the widely shared Croatian video that showed Shilpa Shetty and her family fighting with a foreigner. The business magnate has emphasised that the accusation that they were being 'too loud' was not true.

Raj Kundra told the Hindustan Times what transpired via a text message. "I’d like to clarify the situation regarding the video circulating online. I had booked this particular restaurant a year in advance to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were informed that our table had been given away to another group due to what they claimed was a ‘double booking’ error from the same agent, " he wrote.

Raj Kundra also disclosed that he and his family were urged to keep quiet when they voiced their worries regarding this mistake. "As someone who has also run restaurants, I found the handling of the situation deeply frustrating, especially with my elderly parents, mother-in-law and 20 guests left waiting. What was meant to be a special evening turned unnecessarily stressful, and when we raised our concerns, we were abruptly told to stay quiet, which only added to our disappointment," his text message read further.

Shilpa Shetty and Raj Kundra are the owners of the well-known restaurant business Bastian, which has several locations in Mumbai and one in Bengaluru. Additionally, they shared ownership of Mumbai's Royalty pub.

Meanwhile, Shilpa Shetty posted pictures from her birthday trip on Monday. These included her posing on a balcony while a backdrop of firecrackers lit up the sky, all while she was dressed in a golden gown. "…and it was a BLAST!! Surrounded by unconditional love. @onlyrajkundra you are a star. Only gratitude in my heart for you, for the surprises and for all the memories #birthdaygirl #birthdaylove #blessed #gratitude #birthdayeve #SSKGold (sic)," read the caption on her birthday post.

Shilpa Shetty also posed with her multi-tiered birthday cake in the following photo. Additionally, she posted photos with her family, sister Shamita Shetty and mother Sunanda. The actress also shared pictures with her extended family in the birthday post.
