Actress Shilpa Shetty is enjoying her vacation in Croatia with her family to celebrate her 50th birthday. Amid the enjoyment, the actress’ trip took a turn when a video went viral where she is seen arguing with a young foreigner along with her husband, Raj Kundra. The video has gone viral on the internet and was posted by an Instagram user with the handle ‘maddythecricketer.’ It is being claimed that Shilpa and Raj were arguing with a young girl while eating at a restaurant on June 9, 2025. The girl asked the couple to lower their volume and talk politely.

Raj Kundra furiously replied, “You don’t know who we are!” The audio from the video hinted at a heated exchange of words between Shilpa and the girl. The actress can be seen saying, “Don’t talk to us, we don’t want to hear you”. Fans have openly expressed their disappointment towards the actress and criticised her for using stardom in the wrong way.

Reacting to the video, one internet user commented, “Well, the guest eating her food didn’t want to hear their (Shilpa & gang's) voice either! What’s to argue? Just lower your voice in a public place.” Another netizen reacted, “I'm Indian and I love India. However, this is absolute stupidity. How can you show your smartness in a foreign country? If they would have done the same, there would have been so many abuses to the foreigners. That's why the world hates India because of third-class people like this.” Several fans pointed out the unclassy behaviour showcased by the celebrity.

There were fans who also showed support and defended the actress. One user wrote, “Shilpa shetty is a very nice person also you can see in big brother how foreigners bullied her but still she kept her calm and dignity. Just because she's a celebrity here doesn't mean she's the culprit in this situation, heard the both sides”.

Apart from this video, the same social media handle also shared a picture of the actress in a white dress which hints at her involvement in the incident. Reacting to this news, Raj Kundra defended his wife saying, "I’d like to clarify the situation regarding the video circulating online. I had booked this particular restaurant a year in advance to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Unfortunately, upon arrival, we were informed that our table had been given away to another group due to what they claimed was a ‘double booking’ error from the same agent." The business magnate also expressed that their family was asked to remain quiet when they started raising questions on the management
