Rajpal Yadav Legal Case: Actor Rajpal Yadav was recently seen dancing at his niece’s wedding celebrations after being granted interim bail in a cheque bounce case. A video of the actor enjoying the mehendi function has gone viral on social media, with fans sharing it widely online. Rajpal Yadav was released from Tihar Jail after spending 13 days in custody. He had surrendered earlier this month in connection with a long-running financial case. After completing the required legal formalities, he was granted interim bail and walked out of jail.

Soon after his release, Rajpal travelled to Shahjahanpur in Uttar Pradesh to attend his niece’s wedding. In a video that is now trending online, the actor is seen dressed in a simple kurta-pyjama, dancing happily with family members at the mehendi ceremony. The video has attracted strong reactions from fans, with many expressing happiness to see him smiling again after the legal trouble.

Rajpal Yadav Cheque Bounce Case Explained: The case dates back to 2010, when Rajpal Yadav reportedly took a loan of Rs 5 crore from a Delhi-based company, Murali Projects Pvt. Ltd., to finance his directorial debut, Ata Pata Laapata. The film was released in 2012 but did not perform well at the box office. Due to financial losses, the actor was unable to repay the loan. Cheques issued by him later bounced, and the matter went to court. Over time, the total outstanding liability reportedly increased to around Rs 9 crore. On February 5, 2026, Rajpal surrendered before Tihar Jail authorities after the Delhi High Court declined to grant further extensions.

Rajpal Yadav has now been granted interim bail until March 18, 2026. The Delhi High Court provided relief on the condition that he deposit Rs 1.5 crore in the complainant company’s bank account. The amount was deposited as directed, after which a release warrant was issued by the Karkardooma Court.

Following the court’s order, he was officially released from jail.
