Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda, 35, is in a critical state after he met with an accident near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh, on Saturday. According to a report in Hindustan Times, he singer’s motorcycle collided with stray cattle that suddenly came onto the road which led to a severe crash. The singer was soon taken to the Civil hospital where doctors had confirmed that he had suffered severe head and spine injuries, followed by a cardiac arrest. The singer for later shifted to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, for a better treatment.

In a statement, Fortis Hospital, Mohali, said, "Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda was referred to Fortis Hospital, Mohali, on 27th September and reported in the Emergency at 1:45 PM in an extremely critical condition. As per available information, he had sustained severe head and spine injuries in a road accident earlier in the morning and had also suffered a cardiac arrest at the Civil Hospital before being transferred to Fortis Hospital, Mohali."

"On arrival, he was immediately assessed by the Emergency and Neurosurgery teams. Detailed examinations and investigations were carried out, and he was placed on advanced life support. He is currently on ventilator support and remains in a critical state under close monitoring," the statement further read.

Recently, Diljit Dosanjh brought his Hong Kong concert to a pause to request his fans to pray for Rajvir Jawanda's speedy recovery after the singer was critically injured in a motorcycle accident. Describing Rajvir as "a very dear brother" and "a beautiful singer," Diljit emphasised the power of collective prayers in aiding his recovery.

He said during his concert, "We have a very dear brother. He is a very great singer, Rajvir Jawanda. He met with an accident on a bike yesterday. Please pray for him. Prayers have a lot of impact. He should get well soon. He should come back to us; he should do shows. He sings beautifully, Rajveer Veera. His shows are very beautiful. I think he has never been caught in any controversy. He loves everyone a lot."
