Diljit Dosanjh recently addressed the Sardaar Ji 3 controversy during his concert in Malaysia. His movie drew huge criticism for casting popular Pakistani actress Hania Aamir after the tragic Pahalgam attack in April 2025, which claimed numerous Indian lives. This reignited public anger over cross-border artistic collaborations, leading to calls for boycotts and industry sanctions against Diljit Dosanjh. During the performance, the singer also referenced the India-Pakistan cricket match that recently took place, where the Indian cricketers refused to greet the Pakistani players.
Diljit Dosanjh addressed the crowd during his recent concert in Punjabi and expressed that his movie was shot in February, before the Pahagam incident took place. In several videos circulating on the internet, the singer can be seen saluting the national flag. He said, "Woh mere desh da jhanda hai (That's my country's flag). Always respect."

Diljit Dosanjh On Pahalgam Attack:
The Pahalgam attack took place on April 22 this year, killing 26 people. This came as a huge shock to the entire nation. Referring to the tragic incident, he expressed, "After that, the tragic Pahalgam terror attack happened. At that time, and even now, we have always prayed that the terrorists should receive strict punishment. The difference is that my film was shot before the attack, and the match was played after the attack."
Diljit Dosanjh On Maintaining Silence:
Talking about why he maintained silence for so long, the singer revealed, “I have many answers, but I kept quiet, kept everything inside me. I didn't speak. I have many answers. Whoever tells you anything, you shouldn't take that poison inside you. I have learned that from life. So I didn't say anything…There are a lot of things more to say, but I don't want to do that, I don't want to do that s***.”
Sardaar Ji 3 Controversy:
For the unversed, Sardaar Ji 3, directed by Amar Hundal, starred actors Diljit Dosanjh, Neeru Bajwa, and Pakistani actress Hania Aamir. Released overseas on June 27, 2025, the movie was banned in India. The controversy was fueled by the horrific Pahalgam terror attack in Kashmir on April 22, 2025, in which 26 Hindu tourists were killed. Adding more fuel to the ongoing chatter, a letter was also sent to the makers of Border 2, requesting the removal of Dosanjh from the patriotic film.
