Ramayana Part 1: With a sneak peek of Ranbir Kapoor and Yash in the announcement video, the anticipation for Nitesh Tiwari's masterpiece Ramayana skyrocketed. The epic retelling of the myth is reportedly the largest visual extravaganza in Indian cinema history. Ramayana will be released in theaters in two parts. It appears that Yash will only be on screen for a small portion of the first series.

Yash, who also the co-producer of Ramayana would appear on screen for approximately fifteen minutes in Ramayana Part 1, as per TellyChakkar report. This choice is consistent with the narrative focus of the movie, which is mostly Lord Ram's journey. While Yash's persona is established to set up his more significant role in Ramayana Part 2, the first portion of the epic will explore Ram, Sita and Laxman's exile from Ayodhya.

Yash's screen time report has only recently been reported with official confirmation, albeit this will be rectified when the time comes. The makers confirmed winding up the first part of the mythological epic, while the second part will begin filming in August 2025.

About Ramayana: Part 1

The highly anticipated Ramayana dropped its first glimpse, heightening the anticipation for Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi starrer. Yash will play Ravana, Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi will portray Maa Sita, while Sunny Deol and Ravi Dubey will portray Hanuman and Lakshmana, respectively.

With its breathtaking VFX and visuals, the more than three-minute clip gives a sneak peek at Ranbir Kapoor in the role of Ram. As Lord Ram, he may be seen climbing trees, taking aim with ferocity, and shooting arrows with laser-like focus.  However, Yash also makes a brief appearance as Ravana, assuming a frightening form. Referring to his personality, he emerges from a gloomy area, yet just a portion of his face is visible.

Yash's Upcoming Movies

Yash will soon be seen in the lead role of the historical gangster action movie Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, in addition to Ramayana. According to reports, the  Geetu Mohandas-directed movie is about Goan mafia cartel. The KGF star will play the protagonist, and there will be important roles for a number of other actors, including Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Tara Sutaria, Huma Qureshi, Sudev Nair, and Amit Tiwari. The next film is scheduled to hit theaters on March 19, 2026.
