Ranveer Singh, known for his high-octane movies like Gunday, Gully Boys, and Simmba, among others, is gearing up for his much-anticipated release of this year, Dhurandhar. Helmed by Aditya Dhar, this movie will mark their first collaboration. The makers will reportedly release the teaser of Dhurandhar on Ranveer’s birthday, which is on July 6. The Gunday actor has been busy with the shoot of the movie which also features Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal in key roles.

According to a report in Pinkvilla, “Aditya Dhar has locked a solid teaser to launch his ambitious directorial, Dhurandhar. It’s a birthday special unit that will introduce the world of this espionage to the cinema-going audience. This would mark the first official asset of the film, and the entire team is confident to take the audience on a thrilling ride. It’s a birthday gift from the makers to Ranveer Singh and his fans.” The movie has reportedly drawn inspiration from real-life covert operations led by India’s current National Security Advisor, Ajit Doval.

The report further added that Jio Studios, Aditya Dhar, and Ranveer Singh are excited for the teaser, which presents all the stars in the most larger-than-life avatars on the spectacle. “Dhurandhar is a period espionage thriller primarily set in the era of the 1970s and 1980s in Pakistan. The film also has some present-day elements, which have been kept under wraps for now, as Ajit Doval continues to be a celebrated persona in the system with a legacy spanning 4 decades," the report added.

Earlier this year, Aditya Dhar, best known for the acclaimed Uri: The Surgical Strike (2019), revealed, “Yes, we are currently filming it. We will try to release it by the end of this year. I am happy with the outcome; it’s shaping up really well." Moreover, talking about Ranveer and his performance, the director praised him, and reportedly said, “Ranveer Singh has outdone himself in the film. Watch out." With a gripping mix of action, drama, and suspense, the movie is shaping up to be a high-octane cinematic experience.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh was last seen in Singham Again, which was released in November last year, starring alongside Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Akshay Kumar, and Deepika Padukone, among others. Apart from Dhurandhar, he has Don 3 lined up in his kitty. The movie, which also stars Vikrant Massey, was supposed to go on floors last year but went on to face multiple delays due to a variety of reasons.  Recently, the actor was also spotted outside Maddock Films’ office, which sparked buzz among the audience.
