Rajpal Yadav Awards Show Controversy: Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has come out in strong support of actor Rajpal Yadav. The move follows a controversial moment at the recent Chetak Screen Awards 2026, where a host made a public dig at Rajpal Yadav’s ongoing legal troubles involving a Rs 9 crore cheque bounce case.

Rajpal Yadav has recently faced a difficult period, including a brief time in Tihar Jail earlier this year before being granted bail. Despite these personal challenges, the actor attended the star-studded awards ceremony in Mumbai on Sunday. During the event, the host made a pointed remark about Rajpal Yadav's latest cheque bounce case.

Host Saurabh Dwivedi stated, "Rajpal bhai, no matter how much the dollar and rupee fluctuate, aapko utne hi paise lautane padenge jitne udhaar hain." While the audience laughed, the Bhooth Bangla actor handled the situation with a smile, and explained his side, saying, "Masla toh sun lo ek baar. Main toh masla hi sunana chahta hoon."

Salman Khan Supports Rajpal Yadav

Following this, Salman Khan took to his X (formerly Twitter) and wrote, “Rajpal bhai aap 30 yrs se kaam kar rahe ho aur hum sabne aapko repeat kiya hai baar baar kyunki aap apna kaam jante ho aur ek value laate ho, kaam toh aapko bohot milega aur issi dollar rate pe milega aur milte rahega. Hakikat yeh hai.”

He further advised the actor not to take the host’s comments to heart, adding, “Aur yeh yaad rakhna ke kabhi kabhi flow mai kuch nikal aata hai ,dena hi hai toh dimag mai rakho dil se kaam karo , dollar upar ho ya neeche kya farak padta hai dena toh India mai hi hai.”

Rajpal Yadav Breaks Silence On Awards Show Controversy

Meanwhile, after Salman Khan’s post, Rajpal Yadav shared a video message to clarify that he held no grudges, describing the hosts as his younger brothers. In the clip, the Hera Pheri actor can be heard saying "Saurabh ka dil dukhana matlab mera dil dukhana hai." "I love Saurabh, I love Zakir, I love you all. You guys are the reason I am here. I'm grateful," he concluded.

Additionally, Rajpal Yadav also responded to 'Bade Bhai' Salman Khan's heartfelt support on social and thanked him for praising his 30-year long career. The Dhamaal actor wrote, "Bhai, mere 30 saal ke safar ko sarahne ke liye bahut-bahut shukriya. Aap hamesha ek bade bhai ki tarah raasta dikhate aaye hain. Love you, Bhai, Naman!"

On the work front, Rajpal Yadav is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Bhooth Bangla, co-starring Akshay Kumar and Tabu. The horror-comedy is set to hit cinemas on April 17, 2026.
