Metro In Dino: The romance drama, starring Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Neena Gupta, Anupam Kher, Konkona Sen Sharma, Pankaj Tripathi, and Ali Fazal and directed by Anurag Basu, is receiving a positive response at the box office. The film has earned Rs 9.5 crore upon its release on July 4. The parallel stories of several couples' bittersweet relationships in a metropolitan setting, navigating through the complexities of love, appear to be captivating audiences in the theatres. Overwhelmed by the response, Sar expressed her gratitude to fans on social media. She penned a special note.
Sara Ali Khan took to her Instagram story and shared a video of her theatre visit with the Metro In Dino team. Sharing the reactions of audiences after watching the film on screens, she wrote, “The overwhelming feeling of receiving love from your darshaks. Everything we do-we do for you. Only gratitude."

Sara and Aditya starrer opened with a decent amount in the theatres on day 1 by scoring Rs 3.5 crore. On its first Saturday, the film earned Rs 6 crore. According to the Sacnilk report, Metro In Dino made a total of Rs 9.5 crore in two days. The earnings grew 71.43% after the first day.

Written and directed by Anurag Basu, the movie is a spiritual successor to the hit film Life In A Metro, which starred Irrfan Khan and Konkona Sen.. The sequel marks the return of only Konkona from the original movie.
This musical drama, backed by Anurag Basu Productions and T-Series Films, interweaves multiple stories of modern couples, showing how people deal with relationships in today’s world. Following its theatrical run, Metro In Dino will stream on the OTT platform Netflix, as indicated by the film's poster.
