Amid the buzz around Dhurandhar: The Revenge and Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups, a social media controversy surfaced after a viral post falsely attributed to actress Sara Arjun mocked the postponed release of Yash’s film. The post, featuring the tagline "No toxicity, only Dhurandhar," triggered online debate ahead of the trailer launch of the Ranveer Singh starrer.
Responding to the issue, Sara’s father clarified that the actress is not even on X (formerly Twitter) and urged people not to spread misinformation, while highlighting the film industry’s spirit of unity ahead of the movie’s March 19, 2026 release.
The post further read, "We belong to the same film industry, which is like one big family for us. Sara has been brought to respect every artist and every film. She would be the last person to promote her work by speaking negatively about anyone." "Sara is only on Instagram. Any other account anywhere else in her name is FAKE. Please don't believe or spread such posts—a concerned father," the statement further added.
Sara Arjun plays the character of Yalina Jameel, the girlfriend of Hamza Ali Mazari, portrayed by Ranveer Singh, in Dhurandhar: The Revenge. The young actress has a pivotal role in the film, and a scene from the trailer showing her pointing a gun at someone has grabbed significant attention online.
Directed by Aditya Dhar, the action drama features Ranveer Singh in the lead role. The film also stars Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Rakesh Bedi in key roles.
