Savi-Jigra Controversy: Divya Khossla Shares Call Recording With Mukesh Bhatt After His Alleged ‘Publicity’ Remark On Her Birthday

Savi-Jigra Controversy: Actress Divya Khossla came across a chilling controversy on her birthday on November 20 after several news reports claimed that Mukesh Bhatt had said that she compared Savi and Jigra (a year ago) was a ‘publicity stunt’. This shocked Khossla to the core as she chose to confront the Savi producer for his alleged comment. Not only did Divya confront, but she also shared their call recording on Instagram to clarify the statement.

Why Divya Khossla Called Mukesh Bhatt?

After reading the reports about Bhatt’s remark on her regarding the Savi Jigra controversy, Divya called Mukesh Bhatt for clarity about whether he called her comparison a ‘publicity stunt’. But Bhatt refused to make any such statements, and the angle that has been presented in some reports is not what he intended to convey. In the recording, he also pointed out the timing of the controversy and stated that the remarks seemed as planned as it was out on Khossla’s birthday.

Mukesh Bhatt can be heard saying, “Na mereko kisi ne pucha, na maine kisi ko bola (Neither someone asked me nor did I say it to anyone). This is again created by people who’ve got vested interests.”

When Divya expressed her disappointment about the reports circulating on her birthday. Mukesh Bhatt then said, “Beta, this is all planned. The fact that this happened on your birthday means somebody wants to hurt you and has intentionally planned this. First of all, I didn’t know it was your birthday. Aur main aise harkat nahi karta; by now you know me, beta.” The filmmaker even suggested that the controversy must be planted by ‘the other camp’. He then encouraged Divya to stay focused and wished her a ‘good year ahead’.

Sharing the audio clip, Divya Khossla wrote a long note on Instagram. The caption reads, “I am deeply shocked by this revelation. What I have recently discovered is disturbing and heartbreaking. With a heavy heart, I feel it is important to open this truth to the public, especially for all those artists and fans who have suffered under hierarchy, lobbying, and gatekeeping in our film industry. Unfortunately, I am left with no choice but to put out the telephonic conversation between Mr. Mukesh Bhatt and me so people can hear for themselves how certain groups attempt to sabotage careers and push genuine talent out. This behaviour is unacceptable and cannot be normalised. It is time we speak up. It is time we call out the industry mafia. I will raise my voice- and I will fight this out.”
