SEVENTEEN's Hoshi is set to begin his military service on September 16, 2025 and fans are expressing concern due to the location of his assignment. According to recent reports, Hoshi will be stationed in Yeoncheon, a frontline base near the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) between South Korea and North Korea. This assignment has sparked worry among fans, known as Carats, as the base is considered a high-alert, combat-ready zone. Despite the concerns, fans are sending their well-wishes as he prepares for this significant chapter in his life.

It's worth noting that fellow group member Woozi will also be enlisting in the military, a day before Hoshi on September 15. Both Hoshi and Woozi will be participating in a fan concert and a video call fan signing event before they begin their service. During their time in the military, they won't be able to participate in SEVENTEEN's group activities, but the group has promised to release pre-recorded content to keep fans engaged.

This development comes after SEVENTEEN celebrated their 10th anniversary, and fans are eagerly looking forward to the group's future projects. Hoshi had previously hinted at his enlistment during the Philippine leg of SEVENTEEN's "Right Here" world tour, even going so far as to do a military salute and wear camouflage-patterned pants.

PLEDIS Entertainment, the group's agency, had previously announced that both members would be enlisting in September. According to recent reports, Woozi is scheduled to begin his active-duty service on September 15, while Hoshi will follow suit on September 16. As the countdown begins, fans are eagerly looking forward to the duo's return, marking the days until their discharge.
