On Monday, Shabana Azmi took to her Instagram to share a cute candid moment with her husband. In the photo, Javed Akhtar can be seen engrossed in his writing, while Shabana Azmi is lying on him in a comfortable position. Taking a playful edge on her husband’s oblivious attitude, the actress wrote, “The writer writes oblivious to the scenic beauty, but there is peace and serenity in this photo”.

Whereas her husband, Javed Akhtar, can be seen busy writing in his journal in a comfy pose. The 74-year-old actress recently shared a picture of herself with Javed Akhtar on her Instagram story in an enthusiastic mood, headed for a workout session. She captioned it as, “Workout ready in matching T-shirts.” Shabana Azmi was seen stretching a resistance band, whereas Javed Akhtar was seen holding lighter-weight dumbbells.

In one of her previous interviews with Filmfare, Shabana Azmi talked about her take on love and equation with Javed Akhtar and revealed that she was never a romantic person. She said, “I was never a romantic, to begin with. I find that young girls, maybe today it has changed today, but young girls during my era had great ideas about romance. It would be fed on the fairytales, storybooks, and all the little cartoon books they would read. But I was never like that because I saw my parents’ marriage, which started with a lot of romance and then evolved into friendship. So what I have valued greatly is friendship."

The couple has been married for over 40 years now, as they tied the knot in 1984. Before marrying Shabana Azmi, Javed Akhtar was married to the screenwriter Honey Irani, and has two children with her - Zoya Akhtar and Farhan Akhtar.
