Actor Sophie Turner recently opened up about her interest in Indian cinema and shared her admiration for some of its biggest stars. In an interaction with Firstpost, Sophie revealed that she does follow Indian films and went on to name Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone as her favourite actors. She praised both stars for their screen presence and global appeal, expressing her appreciation for their work and the impact they have made beyond Indian cinema.

Sophie said, "My gosh, that's tough! I mean, Shah Rukh Khan is the GOAT, right? But I love Deepika Padukone, I think she's amazing." Sophie further noted that she loved watching RRR. The movie stars Ram Charan and NTR Jr in lead roles. The film's song Naatu Naatu also received an Oscar.

Sophie further mentioned that she would love to be in a Bollywood movie. She said, "I'd actually love to be in a Bollywood movie. I'd love to do the dance. I think it's such a spectacle and they're so beautiful. The production design is so unlike anything I think we will ever see on a Western film set. I'd love to be in a Bollywood movie."

Although Sophie has not been part of any Indian film projects so far, she has previously visited India. She travelled to the country in 2018 to attend the grand wedding celebrations of her former brother-in-law, Nick Jonas, and actor Priyanka Chopra, which took place in Jodhpur. The festivities, known for their regal scale and global guest list, offered Sophie a glimpse into Indian culture and cinema’s widespread influence.

Sophie’s admiration for Shah Rukh Khan also places her among a long list of Hollywood celebrities who have publicly praised the actor over the years. Stars such as Daniel Radcliffe, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Hugh Jackman, Leonardo DiCaprio, John Cena, Terry Crews, Tom Hiddleston and Lady Gaga have spoken highly of Shah Rukh’s charisma and global stardom. Similarly, Deepika Padukone has earned acclaim from several Western celebrities, including Vin Diesel, who worked with her on her Hollywood debut, xXx: Return of Xander Cage.
