The famous TV show Shaktimaan actress Vaishnavi MacDonald, who is known for her role as Geeta Vishwas in the legendary TV series, has recently shared reasons for her early quit from films. In a recent chat with Siddharth Kannan, Vaishnavi MacDonald spoke about some uncomfortable incidents that led her to opt for TV over films.

Vaishnavi revealed that she had previously signed a deal to play the lead in a high-profile film made by a well-known production company. She was already printed on the banners and posters. She was informed that she would no longer be appearing in the film; however, when she and her mother were summoned to an office conference.

Vaishnavi stated, "My mother and I were forced to sit in an office and told that the banners and posters had already been printed, but I could not continue with the film."

“They Invited In Evening Gathering Full Of Males Only”: Shaktiman Actress

The actress revealed that the problem started when she refused to attend an evening gathering alone. Allegedly, she was invited to an all-male gathering where wine would be provided.

She claimed, "They asked me to meet them alone in the evening. They said it would be only a men’s party and we would drink together. But they didn't like that I was always with my mother. She never abandoned me. Every day, my mother would come to get me and drop me off. Even though I was scheduled to travel to Switzerland for the filming, the production company even had my passport made, but claimed that my mother's passport could not be processed.”

Vaishnavi clarified that the director of the film was not directly involved, but stated that the lead actor had expressed a personal interest in her. However, after she rejected his advances, she claimed that a collective decision was made to let her out of the project.

Choosing Television Over Films

Vaishnavi confessed that her introverted personality and strict boundaries might have influenced her career in films. With time, the offers dwindled. Despite her family’s reservations that television could hamper her opportunities in films, Vaishnavi accepted Shaktimaan, which later turned out to be a turning point in her life.
