Shaktimaan Update: For quite some time, there have been rumours surrounding Mukesh Khanna's popular superhero series Shaktimaan. The upcoming movie is being helmed by Minnal Murali filmmaker Basil Joseph and has been creating buzz due to speculations about its lead casting. Ranveer Singh's name has topped the list, but Mukesh has often expressed his doubts about the actor being a good fit for his iconic character. Then, the reports of Allu Arjun replacing Ranveer began circulating after the veteran actor praised the Pushpa star's charisma and screen presence. Amid all these speculations, Basil Joseph cleared all the doubts by stating that there is no change in casting and confirmed that Shaktimaan will be made only with Ranveer Singh.

Allu Arjun Not Replacing Ranveer Singh In Shaktimaan

Reacting to the rumours of The Shaktimaan's casting, which is currently in development, director Basil Joseph addressed the matter and cleared all doubts with his latest statement.
A source quoted by Bollywood Hungama said, “No one else is doing Shaktimaan. It is Ranveer Singh and no one else. Whoever is spreading rumours of his replacement clearly has their own agenda."

To confirm this information, the portal reached out to director Basil Joseph, who revealed that “Shaktimaan will be made only with Ranveer Singh."

Rumours Of Allu Arjun In Shaktimaan

The rumour gained momentum last year when Mukesh Khanna made a statement on his YouTube channel. Without officially endorsing anyone's name, Khanna shared his views on Allu Arjun's potential in the role of the superhero. Earlier, he said, "Main commit nahi kar raha hun, bol bhi nahi raha hun, judge bhi nahi kar raha hun lekin Shaktimaan ban sakta hai ye. Real life mein bhi acchi look hai acchi height hai… Inke baare mein kaha jaa sakta hai, socha jaa sakta hai ki inko lo."

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is gearing up for his much-awaited movie Dhurandhar, directed by Aditya Dhar. Alongside him, the movie also features a stellar cast including Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna and Arjun Rampal in crucial roles. He also has Farhan Akhtar's Don 3 in the pipeline.
