Shefali Jariwala’s sudden demise at the age of 42 on June 27 shocked the entire nation. Her last rites were performed on Saturday, which was done in the presence of close family and friends in attendance. But what caught the fans’ attention was that Harmeet Singh, who was the ex-husband of Shefali Jariwala, was missing from the funeral. The Meet Bros’ Harmeet shared a long note on Instagram stories where he shared his grief. He stated that they shared some beautiful years together and the memories were still close to his heart. Here is what Harmeet said.

Harmeet wrote, “One of the most shocking moments of my life. I'm absolutely shattered and in disbelief after hearing about Shefali's sudden and untimely demise. We shared few beautiful years together a long time ago - memories I'll always hold close to my heart. My deepest condolences to her parents - Satish ji and Sunita ji, her husband Parag and her sister Shivani. Being away in Europe right now, it's painful for me not to be able to be there for the last rites.”

“Gone far too soon. I pray to the Almighty for her soul to rest in peace, and strength to the family during this unimaginable time. Jai Shree Krishna,” she added.

Shefali Jariwala and Harmeet Singh got married in 2004 and divorced in 2009. Their marriage reportedly ended on an ugly note. Earlier, Shefali alleged being in an abusive marriage with Harmeet. In an old interview with Times Now, Shefali said, “It is very important to understand that you are not being appreciated. Not every kind of violence is physical. There is a lot of mental violence that also happens, and you are very unhappy in your life.”

Shefali then met Parag Tyagi through close friends. They dated for a few years before they finally got married in August 2014. Parag proposed to Shefali on the sets of Nach Baliye in 2012. After two years, they registered their marriage in court.
