Shefali Jariwala's sudden demise came as a shock to the entertainment industry. The actress got fame for his popular music video Kaanta Laga. She then went on to participate in reality shows like Nach Baliye 5,7 and Bigg Boss 13. Unlike her career, she had a difficult life before she met her husband, Parag Tyagi. The late actress was married to musician Harmeet Singh, who is part of the music duo Meet Bros/Meet Brothers. Harmeet and Shefali’s marriage ended in five years and on a bad note. During the time of the divorce, Shefali accused Harmeet of domestic abuse.
Earlier in an interview with Times Now, Shefali said, “It is very important to understand that you are not being appreciated. Not every kind of violence is physical. There is a lot of mental violence that also happens, and you are very unhappy in your life.” Harmeet and Shefali got married in 2004 and divorced in 2009.
In other interviews, Shefali stated that her financial independence and upbringing gave her the confidence to walk away from the bad marriage. The late actress met Singh after gaining fame for her music video Kaanta Laga. She had earlier collaborated with Meet Brothers for several projects including Pyaar Humein Kis Mode Pe Le Aaya.
After her divorce, she met Parag Tyagi at a friend’s party. She stated that her meeting with Parag was an arranged date as that time she was single. In an interview with Times Now, Shefali earlier said, “We really liked each other a lot and hit it off instantly. Parag and I are very similar and different in many ways. I think we kind of balance each other out.”

Shefali and Parag dated for some years before they finally got hitched in August 2014. Parag proposed on National Television while being a contestant in Nach Baliye in 2012. After two years, they registered their marriage in court.
