Shraddha Kapoor announced that the Stree universe is expanding with an animated series, serving as a prelude to the highly anticipated Stree 3. This exciting development was revealed during the trailer launch of Thamma in Mumbai. The animated series will explore the backstory of the Stree universe and seamlessly connect to the upcoming film, providing fans with a deeper understanding of the story. According to Shraddha, the series will not only entertain but also give audiences the backstory they've always been curious about, beautifully tying into Stree 3.

Speaking at the event, Shraddha said, "Your favourite Stree is returning, but with an animated series which will release in theatres. It will end with a scene from Stree 3, showing the audience what really happened in Stree’s universe."

"Stree has always been a film close to my heart, and to see its world expand into animation is thrilling. The series will be titled ‘Choti Stree’ and it will not only entertain but also give audiences the backstory they’ve always been curious about, and it all beautifully ties into Stree 3," she further added.

Producer Dinesh Vijan revealed that the Stree animated series will premiere six months before Stree 3 hits theaters. The series will culminate in a pivotal scene that directly connects to the film, creating a seamless link between the franchise's past and future. This strategic release will build anticipation and provide fans with a deeper understanding of the Stree universe, setting the stage for the next chapter in the franchise.

On Friday, Maddock Films unveiled the trailer for their upcoming vampire comedy Thamma, featuring Rashmika Mandanna and Ayushmann Khurrana in the lead roles. Maddock Films shared the trailer and wrote, "Maddock Horror Comedy Universe presents a bloody love story, produced by Dinesh Vijan & Amar Kaushik and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar."
