Smriti Irani starrer Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is all set to make a grand comeback after what seems to be an eternity. It is Ektaa Kapoor’s one of the most popular TV shows till date that enjoys a humongous fanbase. Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi gained recognition due to Smriti Irani’s portrayal of Tulsi Virani, which stirred a storm among the audience and touched their emotional depths. Recently, Ektaa Kapoor shared the great news of coming up with a second season during the 25th-anniversary celebrations of the original TV show.

Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi aired its first episode on July 3, 2000, and ruled viewers’ hearts for eight years. According to the reports in Indian Express, a source revealed, "Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2 will premiere on its 25th anniversary, July 3, 2025. It will air at the same time slot of 10:30 pm as its first season. Kyunki season 2 will be a finite show with 150 to 200 episodes." Reportedly, fans can enjoy the soap opera on Star Plus channel.

While the audience will get to see Smriti Irani in her old role of Tulsi Virani, reportedly, some more actors from the previous cast are gearing up to join the new season. According to the reports in Filmi Beat, a source revealed, "Hiten Tejwani, Gauri Pradhan, Sandeep Baswana, Shilpa Agnihotri, and Rakshanda Khan are likely to make a comeback in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2. They are in talks to reprise their iconic characters, which played a huge role in the original show's success. Their return is expected to bring a wave of nostalgia among fans."

 As per available reports, actors like Shagun Sharma, Rohit Suchanti, Aman Gandhi, Nidhi Shah and Tanisha Mehta have also been approached. Adding fuel to the buzz, actor Shakti Anand recently took to his Instagram to share a behind-the-scenes picture of himself with co-stars Amar Upadhyay and Kamalika Guha Thakurta and captioned it, “Mihir, Hemant and Gayatri…Kyunki…. It’s reunion time!!”
