Popular daily soap Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is getting a sequel. According to reports, the iconic duo – actress-turned-politician Smriti Irani and Amar Upadhyay will reunite once again and fans are excited for the same. The show is being produced by Ektaa Kapoor. As reported by India Forums, Smriti Irani will be shooting under Z+ security. While Irani will reportedly reprise her iconic role of Tulsi, Amar Upadhyay will play the role of Mihir.

A source told the publication, “The mobile phones of everyone on the sets excluding Amar sir, Smriti Mam and Ektaa mam will be taped. Everyone will be barred from using their mobile phones. Smriti is also shooting with Z plus security and everyone on sets will have to adhere to the strict security protocols laid.”

As reported by Hindustan Times, talking about Kyuku Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Season 2, Ektaa Kapoor said, "The love we have for this program brought everyone related to it back together to complete just those 150 episodes to reach that 2000 episode. This show deserves that."

About Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi: Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, a popular Indian soap opera, aired on Star Plus from July 2000 to November 2008. Produced by Ektaa Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor's Balaji Telefilms, the show left a lasting impact on Indian television.

The show turned out to be a massive success. It won numerous awards, including 5 consecutive Best Actress-Popular awards and 5 Best Serial-Popular awards from the Indian Television Academy Awards. It also received six consecutive Best Continuing Serials awards from Indian Telly Awards.
