Kaun Banega Crorepati Season 17: The upcoming episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati season 17 has been creating a lot of buzz, even before its telecast. Host Amitabh Bachchan is set to welcome several members of the India Women’s Cricket team to celebrate their recent World Cup victory. However, one of the biggest names expected on the show will not be appearing.
According to reports, Smriti Mandhana, the vice-captain and one of India’s most popular cricketers, was supposed to join the team for the shoot scheduled on Wednesday evening. But she will not be attending. A source from the channel confirmed the update, saying, “Yes, she’s not coming. When we checked with the team to confirm who would be part of the episode, we were informed that Smriti Mandhana will not be attending. The shoot is this evening, and she’s giving it a miss.” The news has disappointed many viewers, especially since Smriti is one of the most anticipated faces from the squad. While no official reason was provided, sources hinted that the decision is linked to her current personal situation.

Smriti’s absence also comes at a time when her postponed wedding has become the centre of online speculation. Her father, Srinivas Mandhana, reportedly suffered a health scare and had to be hospitalised urgently. In the days after the postponed wedding, fans noticed that Smriti had removed all her wedding-related posts from social media, including her engagement reel and proposal video. Close friends such as Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil have also deleted the viral engagement announcement dance reel from their profiles, which has added to public curiosity.
