Sonakshi Sinha's brother Kussh Sinha is all set to make his directorial debut with supernatural thriller Nikita Roy starring the actress in the lead role along with Arjun Rampal, Paresh Rawal and others. Prior to his entry into Bollywood, he had been making headlines for rumours of a family rift following Sonakshi's marriage to Zaheer Iqbal. Things erupted after netizens noticed the actress' brothers Luv and Kussh's absence from her wedding pictures, which left everyone wondering if things are well between Sonakshi and her family. Interfaith marriage was speculated to be the primary reason. However, Kussh has broken his silence on this matter and cleared all doubts at once, refuting all rift rumours.

Kussh On Family Fift Rumours After Sonakshi's Wedding

Kussh recently addressed his reported absence from Sonakshi's wedding. In an interview with Zoom, the director said, "I know people were saying there was some random chatter going on. And I was like, okay, so if someone wants to bring this up, it’s their agenda. I have nothing to do with it. If you can’t see me in pics, it doesn’t mean I wasn’t there. I don’t need to put everything out there every time."

He revealed that he respects her choices.

"I just put it simply because I don’t want to comment on Luv’s behalf. And I don’t want to comment on Sonakshi’s behalf here also. I think everybody is allowed to have their individual stunts. As long as they’re doing it with honesty, I think that’s okay. It is how it is, and I respect that. I may not be into it day to day, but I respect her choices also. Like I said, she’s an adult, she’s an individual. She’s allowed to make her choice. And as my dad always said, 'she’s not doing anything illegal, right?," Kussh stated.

Talking about his rapport with brother-in-law Zaheer Iqbal, Kussh added, "We’re okay! I don’t have anything against him that way. We’re okay."

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal exchanged their vows on June 23, 2024, in a private ceremony at the actress' apartment. The ceremony was attended by the couple's family and close friends. Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha and his wife Poonam Sinha were seen posing with the newlyweds; however, the absence of her brothers sparked rift speculations.

Meanwhile, Kussh Sinha's upcoming directorial Nikita Roy is set to hit cinemas on 18th July.
