Giorgio Armani Death: The world of fashion is mourning the loss of one of its greatest icons, Giorgio Armani, who has passed away at the age of 91. Widely regarded as a pioneer of understated elegance and modern style, Armani built an empire that redefined luxury and simplicity. The Armani Group confirmed that the legendary Italian designer died peacefully at home, leaving behind a legacy that influenced not just clothing, but also lifestyle, cinema, and global culture. With his passing, the industry has lost a visionary whose influence reached far beyond the runway, shaping how the world viewed sophistication and elegance.

Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor, who shared a personal bond with the designer, also paid tribute on social media. Posting a series of pictures with Armani, she wrote, “Thank you, Mr Armani, you will be missed.”

Donatella Versace was among the first to react to the sad news. Taking to Instagram, she shared a heartfelt tribute along with Armani’s photograph, and wro, “The world lost a giant today. Meanwhile, the Armani Group officially confirmed the news on Instagram. Their statement read, “With infinite condolences, the Armani Group announces the passing of its inventor, founder, and tireless driving force: Giorgio Armani.” The group further noted that Armani, fondly known as “Mr Armani” by his colleagues, continued working tirelessly until his final days. The statement praised his “relentless curiosity, vision, and ability to connect deeply with people,” highlighting his commitment to both Milan and the wider fashion world. It also reassured fans and the industry that Armani’s principles of independence and innovation would remain at the heart of the brand. A public viewing will be held in Milan on 6–7 September, while his funeral will be conducted privately, in accordance with his wishes.
