Actor-Politician Kangana Ranaut has always been vocal about her political views and thoughts about the current scenario in the country. This time, the BJP MP criticised and slammed the Indian-American democratic socialist, Zohran Mamdani, after his old protest video went viral. Zohran recently created history by winning the New York City Democratic mayoral primary. Coming back to Kangana, the politician slammed the NYC Mayor for his political views and stated that he sounds more Pakistani than Indian.

Kangana reshared a post of an old video of Zohran Mamdani, which claims, “NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani once led a mob of protesters in Time Square calling Hindus as b**t**ds and heaping abuses upon Lord Rama, who is worshipped by Hindus.”

Reacting to the post, Kangana tweeted, “His mother is Mira Nair, one of our best filmmakers, Padmashri , a beloved and celebrated daughter born and raised in great Bharat based in Newyork, she married Mehmood Mamdani ( Gujarati origin) a celebrated author, and obviously son is named Zohran, he sounds more Pakistani than Indian ….. whatever happened to his Hindu identity or bloodline and now he is ready to wipe out Hinduism, wow!! It’s the same story every where. On a different note met Mira ji on couple of occasions congratulations to the parents. #ZohranMamdani (sic).”

Zohran Mamdani took a decisive lead in the New York City Democratic mayoral primary, getting over 80 per cent of ballots counted on June 24. After his victory was declared, Zohran said “In the words of Nelson Mandela: it always seems impossible until it’s done. My friends, it is done. And you are the ones who did it. I am honoured to be your Democratic nominee for Mayor of New York City.”

On the other hand, Kangana in the acting front, was last seen in Emergency. The movie released in theatres on January 17. The movie also starred Anupam Kher, Satish Kaushik, Mahima Chaudhry, Vishak Nair, Milind Soman and Shreyas Talpade in key roles.
