Sreeleela is on cloud nine as her Telugu action film Bhagavanth Kesari has been honoured with the Best Telugu Film award at the 71st National Film Awards. The ceremony was held on September 23 at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, where President Droupadi Murmu felicitated the winners for their contribution to Indian cinema. Among the awardees was Sreeleela's Bhagavanth Kesari, which also starred Nandamuri Balakrishna and Kajal Aggarwal. To celebrate this milestone in her career, the actress shared a gratitude note on social media.

Taking to Instagram stories, Sreeleela shared a screenshot from the National Film Awards ceremony to express gratitude towards her fans and team. Released in 2023, Bhagavanth Kesari is an action drama directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film featured Nandamuri Balakrishna, Kajal Aggarwal, and Sreeleela in leading roles, with Balakrishna’s powerful performance at its core. However, Sreeleela's portrayal also left a lasting impression on both audiences and critics with her vibrant on-screen presence and emotional depth. With its mix of emotion, action, and mass appeal, the film struck a chord with Telugu cinema lovers. Its National Award win now solidifies its place as one of the most impactful films of the year in Indian cinema.
Apart from Bhagavanth Kesari, several regional films were also recognised, like Parking, which won Best Tamil Film. The ceremony also celebrated the contribution of artists, including Shah Rukh Khan and Vikrant Massey, who jointly shared the prestigious Best Actor award. This marks the first-ever award as lead actors for both stars. SRK received the honour for his performance in Atlee's Jawan. Massey won for his powerful performance in the 12th Fail.
This recognition has added a feather to Sreeleela's cap. She has quickly become one of the most beloved actresses in the South, and now she is all set to spread her wings in Bollywood. The actress will make her Hindi debut. She will star opposite Kartik Aaryan in an untitled musical romantic drama helmed by Anurag Basu.
