Renowned Hollywood actor Denzel Washington was honoured with the prestigious Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival during the premiere of Highest 2 Lowest on May 19. But a recent viral video of the legendary actor has gone viral on social media, where he can be seen in a heated argument. At the red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival, Washington was seen losing his cool at a photographer. The Equalizer actor was walking the red carpet for the premiere of his movie Highest 2 Lowest where he was interacting with photographers.
As per reports, Denzel was talking to his co-star ASAP Rocky when one of the photographers tried to grab him to get his attention. This made the Hollywood star furious and he confronted the photographer while pointing his finger at him. He lashed out at the photographer by asking him to ‘Stop’. But the latter kept on smiling at him even though Washington showed his disappointment. When the actor started moving on, the photographer again tried to grab his arms. This led to more tension, the star then said, “Stop it, stop it, stop it. Don't put your hands on me again.”

Denzel Washington Honoured At Cannes 2025
The legendary Hollywood star Denzel Washington was presented the Palme d'Or award at the film festival by his upcoming movie Highest 2 Lowest’s directed Spike Lee. The chief of Cannes, Thierry Frémaux addressed the crowd while announcing the name of Denzel Washington for the prestigious award. He said, “Denzel, because you are here, we want to make something special for you … it’s a kind of way for us to tell you our adoration, what you have done in cinema. Nobody knows about that except Spike Lee, who wrote to me to do that.” The honour happened before the screening of Highest 2 Lowest. While receiving the award, Washington said “This is a total surprise for me.” Earlier, Robert De Niro received the Palme d'Or award at the opening night of Cannes.
Coming back to Highest 2 Lowest, Denzel Washington starrer American crime thriller also features ASAP Rocky, Ilfenesh Hadera, Dean Winters, Jeffrey Wright and Michael Potts in key roles. Spike Lee’s directorial has been produced by Todd Black, Jason Michael Berman.
