Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Box Office Collection Day 1: Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer romantic comedy movie released in theatres on October 2 on the occasion of Dussehra. The film faced a box office clash with Rishab Shetty’s Kannada movie Kantara Chapter 1. Despite the big clash, the movie has generated good numbers on the opening day. Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari earned over 9 crore in just a day. Seeing the positive numbers, the film is expected to create havoc in the weekend as well.

As per Sacnilk, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari earned Rs 9.25 crore on Day 1. The film had an overall 34.08 per cent Hindi occupancy on Thursday. It had 14.77 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 38.93 per cent in the afternoon shows, 43.65 per cent in the evening shows and 38.95 per cent in the night shows.

As per reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 80 crore.

The movie is set against the backdrop of Delhi, where two ex-lovers are trying to get their love back. Amid the extravagantly dramatic tale of innocent deception and comical misunderstandings, an accidental love story blossoms. Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari stars Varun Dhawan, Rohit Saraf, Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra, Abhinav Sharma, Maniesh Paul and Akshay Oberoi in key roles. It has been directed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Shashank Khaitan, Karan Johar, Hiroo Johar, Adar Poonawalla under the production banners of Dharma Productions and Mentor Disciple Entertainment.

While talking about the film, Varun Dhawan told India Today, “We don’t make any promises about changing your life with this film. But what we do promise is that we will change your mood. This is not a preachy film or something where we’re giving gyan (advice). It’s about going back to the time when you’d watch a movie and walk out with a big smile.”
