Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari OTT Release: Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor’s much-awaited romantic comedy Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari (SSKTK) has finally arrived in cinemas. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, the film released on October 2, coinciding with the festive occasion of Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti. Interestingly, the release also saw the film clash with Rishab Shetty’s highly anticipated Kantara: Chapter 1. While audiences can now enjoy the movie on the big screen, fans are equally eager to know when and where it will release digitally. The OTT details have finally been revealed.
After its theatrical run, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari will be available to stream on Netflix. The film’s official poster itself confirmed Netflix as its digital partner. However, the exact OTT release date has not yet been announced by the makers. Considering the standard 8-week gap between theatrical and digital releases, the film is expected to arrive in December. The movie, produced by Dharma Productions, features Varun Dhawan as Sunny Sanskari and Janhvi Kapoor as Tulsi Kumari. Joining them in key roles are Sanya Malhotra, who plays Ananya, and Rohit Saraf, who essays Vikram. The film is packed with family entertainment, blending romance, comedy, and drama in a classic Indian wedding backdrop.
Meanwhile, during promotions, Varun Dhawan opened up about the box office clash between Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and Kantara: Chapter 1. He said, “Honestly, while setting the release date, Dharma Productions, who have been making films for so many years, picked October 2. It’s a huge date because it’s both Dussehra and Gandhi Jayanti. So, overall, the business expected on this day will be much bigger than a normal Friday. Almost Rs 70 crore worth of business is available to be done in Hindi alone. Obviously, Kantara is a very big film. The first one was amazing. I loved it myself. But our film is very different. I think there’s more than enough space for all kinds of films.”
Ahead of its release, trade expert Girish Johar had predicted a strong start for the film. He said the rom-com should open near the double-digit mark, expecting it to earn between Rs 8 to 10 crore on day one. With the festive weekend boost, the numbers are anticipated to rise further.
