Labubu dolls, created by a Hong Kong artist, have taken over the internet, especially in the realm of celebrities. From Hollywood divas like BLACKPINK's Lisa, Rihanna and Dua Lipa to Bollywood’s queens like Urvashi Rautela, Khushi Kapoor, Ananya Panday and others, several popular celebrities have been spotted with these wide-eyed dolls. Now, Rana Naidu actress Surveen Chawla has shared her opinion about the craze for these toy dolls. The actress revealed that she shared an opposite opinion with her daughter when it came to the Labubu dolls.
Surveen Chawla, during an interview with Zoom, expressed that she found the craze for these dolls absolutely strange. She said, "It is a craze among young children. My daughter was talking about a Labubu doll. I said, ‘Listen, it is very strange.’ And she was like, ‘Why? It’s not strange. Mumma, don’t call it strange. It is so cute.’ It is anything but cute. I didn’t find it cute."

Even comedian Bharti Singh once spoke about these popular dolls. Bharti, who had got the Labubu doll for her son, burned it in one of her vlogs as she blamed it for her son’s strange behaviour. The comedian said, "Jab se yeh aaya hai Golla bahut shararati ho gaya hai, hoon main andhvishwasi sabne bola hai, Jasmine ne, meri behan sab log bol rahe hai (Ever since this came home, Golla has turned really mischievous. I admit I might sound superstitious – Jasmine said it, my sister said it, in fact, everyone has been saying the same thing)."
On the work front, Surveen Chawla will soon be seen in an urban horror series Andhera, which is ready to stream on Amazon Prime Video on August 14, 2025. The web series also features an ensemble cast of actors like Prajakta Koli, Karanvir Malhotra, Priya Bapat, Pranay Pachauri and Vatsal Sheth. The actress was recently seen in Netflix’s Mandala Murders, which starred Vaani Kapoor, Vaibhav Raj Gupta and Shriya Pilgaonkar in important roles.
