The Bengal Files Box Office Collection Day 7: Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher and Pallavi Joshi starrer political drama movie hit the screens on September 5. Vivek Agnihotri’s film recieved overwhelming responses from theatres. Despite high expectations and good hype, the film still failed to leave a mark at the box office. The Bengal Files is struggling at the ticket windows, especially after entering the first weekdays. The political drama somehow managed to surpass Rs 10 crore at the ticket windows. The disappointing numbers are definitely a concern, as it seems the movie won’t be able to cross the minimum budget mark.

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 1 crore on Day 7. The net collection of The Bengal Files stands at Rs 11.25 crore. The film had an overall 16.98 per cent Hindi occupancy on Thursday. It had 8.70 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 8.70 per cent in the afternoon shows, 20.11 per cent in the evening shows and 23.11 per cent in the night shows.

What Is The Plot Of The Bengal Files?
The movie focuses on the Great Calcutta Killings, when the violence spread in surrounding areas, including Bengal Presidency, the Noakhali riots and incidents in Tipperah and Comilla. It is based on real incidents of communal violence, the story highlights events that shaped India’s path to Independence and partition. The Bengal Files features Pallavi Joshi, Palomi Ghosh, Mithun Chakraborty, Simrat Kaur, Namashi Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, Saurav Das and Saswata Chatterjee in key roles. It has been directed by Vivek Agnihotri and produced by Vivek Agnihotri, Pallavi Joshi, Abhishek Agarwal, Tej Narayan Agarwal, and Archana Agarwal.
