Rebel Star Prabhas' upcoming movie, The Raja Saab, is one of the most awaited movies of the year. Directed by Maruthi, the movie has generated immense buzz, with social media speculating about its release. The Raja Saab features a stellar cast, including Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, and Riddhi Kumar in prominent roles. Meanwhile, Bollywood icon Sanjay Dutt also plays a crucial part in the movie, adding considerable weight to the narrative. The Telugu movie is being produced by People Media Factory, with music composed by the ever-popular S.S. Thaman.
Prabhas’ The Raja Saab promises a unique blend of supernatural horror, humour, and adrenaline-fuelled action—an unusual yet captivating mix that director Maruthi is known to handle deftly. The makers have remained tight-lipped about the plot, which has only increased intrigue. According to a report in News18, The Raja Saab is likely to hit theatres on 5 December 2025. The Telugu movie's production team is expected to make an official announcement about the final release date in the coming days.

On the other hand, insider buzz hints at a gripping story involving royal legacies, ancient curses, and a hero torn between two worlds. Combined with grand visuals, state-of-the-art VFX, and a riveting background score, the Telugu movie is already shaping up to be one of the year's biggest cinematic events. Earlier this year, Prabhas gave fans the first peek into his character by sharing a motion poster and a teaser image during Pongal. The teaser carried the tagline which read, “Horror is the new humour,” sparking curiosity about the movie's tone and theme. While the initial release was set for April 10, 2025 in five languages—Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, but post-production delays have pushed the date. A revised teaser release is now expected by the end of May.
Apart from The Raja Saab, Prabhas has a busy line-up that includes the period drama Fauji, the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, and Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit. With so many high-profile projects in the pipeline, 2025 is poised to be a monumental year for the superstar.
