Taj Story Controversy
The Taj Story has been enmeshed in a controversy in the days before its national premiere. The lawsuit did not dissuade the filmmakers from standing by their defense. Two Public Interest Litigations (PILs) have been filed to get it banned for misrepresenting facts about the Taj Mahal. In a public response to the criticism, actors Paresh Rawal and Zakir Hussain said that the film was the result of extensive research and that it was not meant to incite religious or communal strife.
