The Taj Story Box Office Collection Day 1: Paresh Rawal starrer courtroom drama movie, which became a centre of discussion after several PILs were filed to ban the release, hit the screens on October 31. Despite facing several blockages, the film received mixed reactions from the audience and the critics. The Taj Story opened at the box office with moderate collection, earning over Rs 1 crore. Well, the performance might not be as per the expectations, but it can be said that there might be a spike in numbers, which will change the game.

As per reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 25 to 32 crore.
The Taj Story Controversy
Ahead of the release, two Public Interest Litigations (PILs) were filed, demanding a ban on the film and a review of the film’s certification. The petitioners claimed that the film misinterpreted the historical facts around the Taj Mahal. Despite facing several challenges, the makers stood firm in their stance. Paresh Rawal also spoke about the PILs filed and told NDTV that the director of the film, Tushar Amrish Goel, has done well research and there is nothing fabricated in it. He also dismissed the rumours around PIL and suggested that it wasn’t filed to stop the release of the film. He also said that there was no intention to create a Hindu-Muslim controversy.

The Taj Story Plot Overview
The movie follows the life of a local guide named Vishnu Das, who becomes driven by curiosity to uncover the actual history behind the iconic Taj Mahal Monument. The Taj Story stars Paresh Rawal, Zakir Hussain, Amruta Khanvilkar and Namit Das in key roles. The film has been directed by Tushar Amrish Goel and produced by Suresh Jha. The music of the movie has been composed by Rohit Sharma. It has a runtime of 2 hours and 45 minutes.
